“…Andrew Toplack, a psychotherapist by day and fanatical cocktail enthusiast by night…Toplack inherited the obsession from his father, a foodie back in the ’70s before the word existed, who would schlep the family to Napa and Manhattan for wining and dining vacations. The city’s bartenders know Toplack by name; Moses McIntee, Toca’s former barkeep, rewarded his patronage by creating the Dr. Toplack Cocktail, a heady blend of herbal and bitter ingredients for experienced imbibers only: green chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, two brands of amaro from Italy, and cremovo.”
